Auctions of unclaimed loose-in-the-mails items are held two or more times a year at each of our Mail Recovery Centers. Bulk Mail Center Managers are responsible for announcing when the auctions will be held. To find out when the auctions will be held at each location, you should write the General Managers of the Mail Recovery Centers listed below:

Auctions and sales to dispose of postal equipment are conducted locally to foster community involvement and reduce handling and transportation costs. These sales are announced in local newspapers and by notices posted on lobby bulletin boards at the post offices where the sales will be held. The Purchasing Service Centers in each of our regions maintain lists of those interested in making purchases within their geographic areas.
