On May 31, 2002 Renee Wright, held a very informative and quite different type of seminar. Renee who is the OWCP Rep. or specialist, you might say here in San Antonio. Her diligence in bringing the State OWCP Representative Mr. Harry James from the Ft. Worth Area Local really paid off. On the first day of the seminar it was individual cases. People who have been having problems with Injury Comp, the D.O.L. and other agencies got some great advise assistance and information that really helped their case move along.

Harry James biggest reitereances was that each individual is responsible for their case. Do not rely so much on what injury comp office tells you due to fact that most of the time they are putting you off and mis informing. The information and packets that were available to those that showed really proved a great selling point. It was however saddening to see that more people did not take time to come out and get some really great help. I know for a fact that there are more people working for the postal service here in San Antonio that have been struggling with the injury comp office for the longest of times.

On Saturday, Mr James showed those in attendance just exactly in the regulations that we have the right to request our paper work be looked into and just what the injury comp office is not doing in fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities. Yet they go unchecked. They are not held accountable for their misguided information causing the worker to lose time on the job and benefits.
