The Senate Homeland Security Committee marked up legislation written to deal with the financial problems of the U.S. Postal Service. Members focused on the proposed 5-day work week and the possible closing of post offices and processing centers. The committee also considered an overhaul of workers' compensation provisions for federal employees.
