The Postal Service surpassed the 2000 campaign by 20% in the year
2001 and is looking to surpass that goal by 40% this year. With the
effort we can surpass that and help many needy services here in the city
of San Antonio. At present it seems that postal management here in San
Antonio is willing to listen to the concerns of the workers to help ensure
that their contributions do go to a worthy organization. With the
ceremonies today this marks an unprecedented beginning to the United
Way campaign one in which labor and management actually are on the
same of the table to help in reaching a goal of good doing good for our
community one that makes us all proud to be postal workers but more
so to be in San Antonio and to bring our city into the limelight
throughout our nation as a leader in this endeavor.
May God Bless us and help us in this task.
